'Up from the Bottom' has been officially released!

2025-03-28 14:11

After a few weeks of teasers and leaks, 'Up from the Bottom', the new song from Linkin Park, has finally been released! And it brought with it a deluxe edition of From Zero as well, with two other new songs!

Coming in two vinyl editions, two CD editions, and a digital version, the Deluxe Edtion will come out on May 16. On the physical editions, you not only get 'Up from the Bottom', 'Unshatter', and 'Let You Fade', but also live recordings of 'The Emptiness Machine', 'Heavy is the Crown', 'Over Each Other', 'Casualty', and 'Two Faced' that were recorded on the first legs of the From Zero live tour.

Physical editions of the From Zero Deluxe Edition can be picked up from the official Linkin Park online store:
FROM ZERO (DELUXE EDITION) GHOSTLY ORCHID VINYL 2LP
FROM ZERO (DELUXE EDITION) TRANSLUCENT EMERALD GREEN VINYL 2LP
FROM ZERO (DELUXE EDITION) EXPANDED 2CD
From Zero (Deluxe Edition) 2CD

And the digital version can be found here.

Some info and speculation about the new songs:
'Up from the Bottom' was written and recorded between the tour legs of From Zero, making it a new song and not a demo.
'Unshatter' was one of the first demos that the band worked with Emily on and made it clear that she was the right choice for the new singer in the band.
We have literally no info about 'Let You Fade'.

'Up from the Bottom' official teaser

2025-03-17 17:54

After the leak last week, Linkin Park shared a teaser image with the title 'Up from the Bottom' on their various social platforms (Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) on Friday the 14th, and now today the band has shared a longer teaser video of what was first featured in the end of the LPTV episode documenting the bands recent tour in Asia.

In this teaser video we get to hear Emily sing more, a very short snippet of Mike rapping, and two (or three?) shots from the upcoming music video for the song.

It appears that the band is going to just ignore the leak, and continue on as if nothing has come out. A strategy that the band usually employs for leaks these days. Linkin Park is not the type of band that will see something leak and then just release the official version because a "it's already out". They have their plans and they're sticking to them.

'Up from the Bottom' has leaked!

The supposed cover for the new single: Up from the Bottom. A From Zero era Linkin Park logo covered in the liquids from the From Zero album cover.

Linkin Park had teased a new song being released twice now. First at the end of the LPTV episode documenting the bands recent tour in Asia. And then they released a short midi file named 'Up.mid' (also being shown as 'UFTB'), linked in the description of the newly released live performance of 'Overflow'.

Unfortunately, someone had other ideas. Probably the Russians. It's usually the Russians... I don't actually know if it's the Russians. Don't come at me, Russians.

I woke up to a message in a group chat saying the song had leaked, asking if we wanted it to be posted in the chat. I said "I do" and listened to the song. It's a total banger. I can't wait for an official release, complete with music video and lossless audio.
